Here’s a few things you might like to see…

Anyway, today at 3 I went to Emily’s house for a “Beach Meeting”. We (Me, Gen, Jessie, Emily, Emma, Megan, and Lizzie) are going to the beach for beach week. It’s going to be great! Her aunt let us have the house for the whole week for only $500! Split 7 ways it’s only $72 a person, FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK AT THE BEACH! And the beach house is totally cool. I saw pictures of it. It’s got 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, the whole enchilada. It also has tv, dvd player, the whole hook-up, it’s AWESOME! (:

I am uber excited about that! Also, I only have 4 days left of school (because I’m a senior we get out earlier than the rest of the school). I am exempt from all of my exams except one, Trig (ew). I have to take that Wednesday, June 3rd. And then on June 9th (GRADUATION!) I am a free woman! No more high school to worry about! Heck yes!

This just so happens to be one of my best friends Taylor, at my 18th birthday party participating in Rock Band.

So anyway, a 10 things on Thursday… 10 Things that’s happened in May. Okay, GO!

1. I had my two AP tests. English and Biology. They were… okay, I guess. I think I did pretty well on them… maybe.

2. It rained. A lot. It rained for like 2 weeks straight, horrible.

3. GENTRY’S BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!! OMG! It was great! I had so much fun. I love my bestfriend. Nuff said.

4. I turned in my final project for Trig. Really, I didn’t think it was going to get done. I thought I was going to just procrastinate until I finally said “Screw it” and flunked the class. But I did it, I turned it in, and I’m done!

5. Jessie and Ken started dating. For those of you who don’t know Jessie and Ken (Buddy.. it feels weird calling him Ken because I’ve called him Buddy for forever) Jessie has been one of my best friends since 9th grade (yeah, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we’re cool) and I’ve known Buddy since 5th grade. Well they started working at Chick-Fil-A together (aww, a work relationship) and just started dating. Cool.

6. Jeff and Christa started dating. Now, they went to prom together and it was cool, and I’m happy for them, but it’s just they are so awkward together. I mean I don’t know. They’re just awkward.

7. I sent in the deposit to Longwood (actually this happened in April, but whatever). I am officially enrolled in Longwood. Heck yes! Excited? A little.

8. I found a place for my hamster, Theodore to live when I go to college in the fall (because I can’t take the poor rodent with me). He’s going to go live with my AP Bio teacher, Ms. Weening. She’s responsible. She’ll take care of him.

9. I’ve taken up jewelry making. For real. It’s AWESOME! I’m SO stoked.

10. I got my mom the PERFECT mother’s day gift for once! Well, actually I gave her the money to buy it, but still. She has one of those pandora bracelets and she wanted her graduation cap charm because last November she earned her Bachelor’s degree.

Ugh, I’m way behind in telling you everything so I’ll make it short…

Went to prom, it was fun. Lived my life. Saw Fast and Furious = GREAT! Saw I Love You, Man = EVEN BETTER!!! This Saturday Gen, her mom, her mom’s friend Jazz, and I are going to see Obsessed, and if that doesn’t happen then we’ll see I Love You, Man again! I’m not complaining!

Anyway, I’m tired and I’m hitting the sheets. (: Night.

Then, I felt this sudden detestation of prom and didn’t want to go anymore, after I’d gotten the dress, blah, blah, blah. But I remembered the quote from Pretty In Pink. And decided I should go. So, I’m definitely going. So tomorrow, apparently everyone in my family is coming over to see me off the prom, how embarrasing it that? I’m driving to Gen’s (because I don’t have a date, I have to drive by myself) because everyone is meeting at her house to take pictures and then we’re going for dinner, and then we’re going to prom. I’m really excited to see Greg wear is purple headband to prom. No lie, taking it back to the 80′s! (:

Then, I’m not going to after prom because it’s at like 3 in the morning and I’ll be dead-dog tired. But tonight, my big plans include curling up on the couch watching Twilight.. yes, Twilight. Don’t judge me.

1. Work, work, work, work, work. Whether it was my actual job at the daycare, or working around the house, or working on college stuff, or working on school stuff. I felt like I was always working.

2. No Seek. If you don’t know what SEEK is, it’s the youth group at my church. I go every Wednesday night and since Gentry had to run the foreign language banquet at school, I didn’t go (because she usually drives because my car is old and can’t take driving such long distances.. plus I didn’t have any gas). So anyway, I was having withdrawls.

3. Movie night. Gentry and I watched Some Kind of Wonderful, because I love it and I think she liked it too. It’s just, the problem I’ve come to find with 80′s movies is that they are REALLY good, it’s just they’re slow. It’s like they have 5 minutes of cool time, 10 minutes of just talking, hanging out, 5 minutes of something awesome, 10 minutes of talking for the story to work, this goes on for like an hour and a half and then you have this WONDERFULLY AMAZING ending, it’s just all too much!

4. Nothing at all. Saturday I did absolutely nothing. I was supposed to clean my room, didn’t happen.

5. Exercise. Aha. Gen and I went to Maymont Park and we didn’t realize it closed at 7:30. We got there at like 7. So we walk around and we get deep into the park and I have to pee REALLY badly. So we’re trying to find the bathrooms and the guy is like “Closing is in 15 minutes!” CRAP! So we get him to unlock the bathroom door for us. Then we had to hike up this really tall and long hill and book it to be out of the park by 7:30. We made a 20 minute hike into a ten minute hike, it was great. My calves were killing me.

6. Falling at Taylor’s party. OMG! It was so embarassing, and I do NOT get embarassed easily. But to make matters worse, Colin made fun of my for it the ENTIRE night. UGH! I fell, big deal. He gets a laugh, I don’t.

7. Making fun of Christa for forgetting her Bible at church. I know it’s not the Christ-like thing to do, but she’s always like “Ohhh, Lindsey you forgot your Bible, aha!” And then the one day I bring my Bible to church, she forgets hers! EPIC!

8. Singing songs and annoying the heck out of everyone on the way to Fluvanna. Yes! Gentry and I put in my iPod and belted out every song we loved. It was great!

9. Fluvanna. Church sang for the ladies at the Fluvanna Women’s Prison and it was amazing. I got such and adrenaline rush. You have to think about it, these ladies never get to experience God and we come to sing for them, and they clapped and stood up and sang along. It was amazing. I couldn’t stop smiling. It was great.

10. Busch Gardens plans all washed out. Literally, it rained, we couldn’t go. Darn.

Okay, I am calm.

So a little about my weekend. Last night was the BEST night ever. I had my birthday party. It was cool! We had a bonfire (until it started raining), but the rain didn’t ruin my fun. We hung out in my garage, my friends and I. We played Never Have I Ever (best game ever), and we did a desert relay race. We listened and danced and sung to music. We talked. We played Rock Band. I opened my presents, ate some cake, peed my pants laughing. It was amazing.

The best part was my friend Taylor. She was stone sober and she was so hyper it was almost as if she’d had one too many beers. Aha. She is crazy! I can’t wait to be her roommate in college next year!

Then today at church, everyone in youth choir (150 people) sang Happy Birthday to me! (:

I felt so special.

Cellular, starring Kim Bansinger (Batman, L.A. Confidential), Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Not Another Teen Movie), Jason Statham (Crank, The Bank Job), and directed by David R. Ellis is an amazing movie. It’s a great mixture of action/adventure, comedy, and seeing Chris Evans without a shirt on!

Synopsis: Jessica Martin (Basinger) gets kidnapped by a group of men and put in the attic of a house in the middle of no where with nothing but a smashed telephone. While the men go downstairs she clicks wires forever until she gets Ryan (Evans) on the line, a man she’s never met. Now, it’s up to Ryan to save Jessica from these men who are after her husband and child as well.

This movie really keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s amazing entertaining and hilarious. And there is one scene from the movie I want to you watch. This is amazing! Watch it all the way through.

So anyway, as I’m watching this, I’m thinking about my own love life (or lack thereof) and how much it sucks. I don’t have a boyfriend. And while I really don’t mind the whole not having a boyfriend thing, sometimes it gets a little lonely. I see my friends with their boyfriends, like my friend Sydney. She ALWAYS talks about her boyfriend, and while it gets a little annoying, I envy it.

But then, I like not having to tell someone who I’m hanging out with every second of every day. And I like not having someone who gets mad at me when I can’t hang out or whatever (some guys are just really clingy). So there’s pros and cons, but when I watch this movie, I focus more on the pros.
